Hi!! I’m Thuy Anh – a mom, a wife, and most of all, a crochet lover.
What started as a simple hobby quickly became my passion – and now, my full-time job. I specialize in amigurumi, the art of creating cute little characters with yarn and a hook.
To date, I am proud to have shared over 200,000+ patterns with crafters via Etsy, Ravelry, and my website shop at Greenfrogcrochet.com.

Mai has her own eye for design and her own style (a little more playful, a little more whimsical), and honestly, having her here just means twice the patterns, twice the tips, and twice the love going into every post. She’s been one of my in-house testers for years, so this is really just her stepping out from behind the scenes!

Why a new blog?
After building such a wonderful community, I felt it was time to give back. This blog is a cozy space where we’ll be sharing free patterns, our favorite crochet tips, and the personal journey behind every stitch. I want to help you find as much joy in this craft as I do!
Every piece we make is created with love, care, and a sprinkle of magic, because my biggest wish is to spread happiness and positive energy to everyone who visits this little corner of the internet.
We believe that a great pattern should be easy to follow and frustration-free. That’s why I don’t work alone! I’ve taught my husband and my two younger sisters how to crochet, and they now serve as my dedicated in-house testers. Before any pattern reaches you, it has been thoroughly tested by my team to ensure every stitch is perfect.
A little story behind the scenes. When I’m not designing new patterns or playing with yarn, I’m spending time with my family. We are living in a cozy home in Hanoi, Vietnam. My son is my biggest fan, he loves all my stuffed animals, and we recently welcomed a little princess to our family in June 2025. They are the true inspiration behind every cute character I create.
